Big news for you community boosters!
Okanagan co+Lab along with Digital Okanagan and Okanagan Young Professionals have collaboratively developed a new volunteer position — a Community Activator. The purpose of the role is to build community engagement, and to support local events and initiatives happening in technology, startup, and entrepreneurship.
Drum roll, please…
It’s with great enthusiasm that co+Lab welcomes Kodie Beckley as our Community Activator, joining the team on July 1st. He’s a recent grad from the Centre for Arts and Technology Graphic and Web Design program, and a very active and passionate community member.
Kodie is eager to help growing our community and supporting smart, creative, business and technology professionals.
There are three key ways he’ll work to improve the state of our nerdy ecosystem:
EXPLORE — getting to know, appreciate and connect people throughout the community—he’s really passionate about helping others succeed.
AMPLIFY — he will build awareness of the community by attending, promoting, and supporting all the amazing events and initiatives in our scene.
CREATE — he will develop some of his own crazy ideas; events, resources, and activities—all with the purpose of community building!
If you’d like to get to know more about Kodie, check out his website, LinkedIn, Twitter, or even better — contact him to set up a chat.
