Justin Goodhew Joins co+Lab As Community Activator

It’s with great gusto that co+Lab welcomes Justin Goodhew to the team, taking on the role of Community Activator. He’s a relative newcomer to Kelowna who is passionate about supporting creative entrepreneurs and championing big ideas.

Justin GoodhewA bit about Justin

Justin is an entrepreneur who works in the realms of digital marketing, business development and development strategy. He has always been a fervent self-starter, launching his first business in university called myskillbase.com. Since then he has built his second startup, BluePerch.co and is now consulting for fast-paced education startup called Accredible. On the side Justin is also part owner of socialpractice.ca, a digital marketing education platform.

When he is not in the co+Lab you can find Justin snowboarding at Big White, on the water (if it’s warm!), playing intramural sports, or training for his next triathlon or adventure race. Oh, Justin is also an avid Leafs fan. He’s new to the Okanagan — so don’t give him too hard of a time… yet 🙂

Some of Justin’s goals as Activator:

  • Attract great people to the space.
  • Become more involved with the Okanagan community.
  • Get invested in things bigger than himself.
  • Meet and work with other entrepreneurs.
  • Have fun!

Drop Justin a line at justin@okcolab.com or just come down and say “hi” to him at the space!

Background on the Community Activator Role

In 2014, Okanagan co+Lab along with Digital Okanagan and Okanagan Young Professionals collaboratively developed a new volunteer position — the Community Activator. The purpose of the role is to build community engagement, and to support local events and initiatives happening in technology, startup, and entrepreneurship.

For the inaugural run, we had the pleasure of working with Kodie Beckley, co+Lab’s previous Activator. Read Say “Hi” to Kodie, co+Lab’s Community Activator.
