I’ve been out of commission for a while because I’ve been canoeing/rafting down the Fraser River with the Sustainable Living Leadership Program for the past 25 days (featured in Cap News), learning about threats facing BC’s longest river, experiencing 13 of the province’s varied biogeoclimatic zones, and meeting people from communities along the way. I definitely recommend this program for people who are interested to know more about environmental issues and governance in BC, are looking to connect with BC’s wild spaces, improve their community organizing and leadership skills, and meet an amazing network of dedicated and passionate people. “Fiona McGregor and I wrapped up our charity lawn bowling fundraiser aimed at young professionals in the Okanagan — On The Lawn. Over three consecutive Thursdays, we raised a total of $11,600 for Elevation Outdoors!! Woop Whoop!! It was a pleasure working with BDO, our Presenting Sponsor, the Lawn Bowling Club, Elevation Outdoors, and all the other people who donated their time, expertise, and prizes.
